 Leaving Carnarvan Gorge

Memorial to the American and Australian personnel aboard the C47B Dakota aircraft which crashed here (near Carnarvan Gorge) during a violent electrical storm on 16 November 1943 whilst on rout from Darwin to Brisbane.

Roma sale yards are enormous. 

We arrived just after the weekly sales had finished. 

Animals are purchased by the kg.

Following the sales each animal is weighed before to determine the actual sale price. 

This 870 kg of walking steak cost $2.40 a kilo with a final price of  $2088.

Our car fridge won’t handle that. 

Lovely afternoon in Roma.
