The gulf af Carpentaria and the Gulf of Mexico are the only two places in the world that have only one high and one low tide in 24 hours.
Tonight’s trip was on a high tide so we missed out on two things. Watching the sunset from a sand island in the gulf and seeing any crocodiles.
My expectation had been that the shores would be similar the the Everglades in Florida where Alligators are everywhere including in parklands.
