Day 12

178 km between Longreach and Winton with only a few rest stops along the way. 


In them there hills we will find dinosaurs tomorrow.

The Theatre Royal which is the second oldest open air theatre in  Australia, the other is in Broome. 

I have a memory of visiting this theatre in the late 1970’s

Side wall has a hump in it to stop the patrons from the hotel next door being able to watch a free movie. 




Candy bar sells bags of jaffas some of which are eaten while the remainder are rolled down the sloping floor or thrown at people I front. Yes we did roll them but my inability to throw saved those a few rows in front of us.
