Day 9

 Ellen enjoyed the dirt road drive out of Lara Wetlands. 

First stop Barcaldine on the Tropic of Capricorn 



Yippee, Saturday morning festival markets. 








Next town along the way is Ilfrcombe

Morning tea in the pub. 


Arrived in Longreach to a very strong wind perfect for sailing not good for lifting the pop top. 

This evening we booked on a sunset river cruise with camp fire dinner, bush poetry and story telling, movie about Captain Starlight followed by Damper and Billy Tea.
